Description: The Type 345 is a Chinese copy of the Thompson-CSF Castor CTM fire-control radar (Castor-II radar + daylight TV/IR camera), obtained by the PRC in the 1980s. The radar is designed to guide the HQ-7 shipboard SAM. Each vessel is fitted with an 8-cell SAM launcher and a Type 345 radar.
