The GT-1E chaff/flare dispenser is installed on most combat aircraft of the PLAAF and PLANAF. The device dispenses a variety of decoy flares and chaff to counter any homing of a missile to the carrier aircraft, hence increasing the aircraft's survivability.

GT-1E箔条/曳光弹布撒器安装在中国空军（PLAAF）和中国海军航空兵（PLANAF）的大多数战斗机上。装置布撒多种诱骗曳光弹和箔条对抗任何导弹导向机载该装置的飞机，因此增加飞机的生存力。

The GT-1E dispenser normally works together with radar warning receiver (RWR) or missile approach warning (MAW) system to form a complete airborne self-protection electronic countermeasures (ECM) system. It can be operated either automatically or manually to jam enemy's ground-based and airborne fire-control/guidance radar, and IR- or radar-homing missiles.

GT-1E布撒器正常地连同雷达告警接收器（RWR）或导弹逼近告警（MAW）系统一起工作去形成一个完整的机载自卫电子对策（ECM）系统。它能自动或手动操作去干扰敌人的地基或机载火控/制导雷达，以及IR或雷达制导导弹。
